1. Where are you from? (Province, City) 

Born in Seoul, grew up in Daegu, ancestral graves in Andong. 

2. Could you give us a short introduction of your presentation topic? 

Family lines & world history as mutually constitutional domains. 

3. Have you been to Germany before? If so, where exactly? 

second times in Germany, Berlin and Potsdam especially, first time in Tübingen. 

4. How is your impression of Tübingen as a town? 

Cambridge of Germany 

5. When you leave Korea for a longer period of time, what do you miss the most? 

Food, mountains, Karaoke & rituals. 

6. What is your favourite English dish? 

Pudding, sometimes chips with steamy curry sauce on top. 

7. Do you consume Korean entertainment like TV shows on a regular basis? 

Not really, but I love Korean films, both from South and from North. 

8. As an expert on the relations between North and South, what is your opinion on the recent "proposal letter" being sent shortly before the annual joined military drill with the USA? 

Not an expert on the topic... The family reunion must take place. 

9. Tell us about your international project "Beyond the Korean War"

Korean War as a transnational history; transnationality is, both the Korean War in world history and the global history of the Korean War in communal lives. 

10. Which person is your role model? Why do you look up to this person? 

Changes over time. At the moment: Emile Durkheim.
