Herr Prof. Park Tae Gyun hat sich bereit erklärt, The Koins ein paar thematische und persönliche Fragen zu beantworten:
1. Where are you from? (Province, City)
Seoul, South Korea
2. Could you give us a short introduction to your presentation topic?
It is about characteristics of the anti-communist ideology in 1950s and 1960s South Korea. Although anti-communism has played a crucial role in South Korean society until now, the contents was changed several times. One of the most serious turning point was early 1960s when Rostow’s take-off theory was spread in South Korea.
3. Have you been to many German cities? If so, which is your favorite one?
Of course, Tuebingen. I have been to Heidelberg, Muenchen, Berlin, Frankfrut, and so on. However, I love a small, lovely and old-style city like Tuebingen.
4. What does Tuebingen have that Seoul does not?
Friendly and lovely atmosphere. Moreover good friends and wonderful students.
5. Do you have a personal travel tip for our exchange students when they’re in South Korea?
Many places are so attractive. First of all, beautiful mountains surrounding Seoul. And Suwon which has very wonderful castle and royal ceremony house. Was memorial place and China Town in Incheon. Wonderful port city Busan. Delicious bibimbap Jeonju.
6. When you leave Korea for a longer period of time, what do you miss the most?
My house area, Seoul National University of Education and my university, SNU.
7. Did you enjoy last semester’s eSchool seminar at our institute, and would you like to give it again?
Of course. If your school give me an opportunity, yes.
8. Have you experienced differences between Korean and German students?
I love German more because they are more active. I love mutual communication in any class. And I can enjoy comparative analysis between Korea and Germany.
9. What are the major hot topics in Korean-American relationship at the moment and which might become relevant in the future?
Operational control over South Korean forces and Missile Defense system.
In the long term, probably conflicts between US-Korea and Korea-China relationship.
10. Who is your role model? Why do you look up to this person?
Hmmm~~~~ My father? Who love his work and family.
